Gardening workshops are held the 2nd Sunday of every month. This workshop is FREE and is for the entire family! The workshop focuses on:
Soil Preparation Flower and Vegetable Planting Kids clinic projects with a free apron Plots available with a small deposit of $20, seniors are $18.

The Community Garden is located at the corner of 5th and D Streets in historic Downtown Chino. Any individual or group may rent a plot. It is a fun and nutritious way to grow your own vegetables, get a community group together, or do an activity as a family. Vegetable planting and crops calendar is available at the Recreation Office.

Time: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm Ages: All Ontario Open Air Market encompasses 40 acres, divided nearly equally between the livestock auction and the open air market. Spectators are welcome to view the Tuesday Auction in progress. Cattle, goats, sheep, hogs & horses are sold. Open each Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday, most vendor spaces are covered within our miles of shopping aisles. Amenities offered include a Kentuckty Fried Chicken Restaurant, Americana fast food familiars and local specialties. We have one of the longest full service bars in the largest county in the States. Vendor count can be as much as 500 on any given market day. Shopper attendance is in the 1000's routinely. On weekends, entertainment is often provided for your enjoyment at the outdoor food court.
A small Admission fee is charged to shoppers. Free parking.
Time: 4:00-4:45 PM Ages: 6-10 Club Corona is held on the third Monday of each month for for children ages 6-10, where stories, crafts, and fun is had by all.
Time: 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Join Chick-fil-A, one of the best kid-friendly restaurants around. Kids eat FREE every Tuesday night at the Hidden Valley Parkway Chick-fil-A. FREE Chick-fil-A Nuggets Kid's Meal (4-count) and a kid's craft with the purchase of any dinner combo. Activities differ weekly from crafts, stories, and more.

Children's Storytime at Eastvale Community Library
The Eleanor Roosevelt H.S. Library doubles as a public library (Eastvale Community Library) and they offer a weekly storytime on Wedndesdays at 4:00 pm
The public library hours are: 3pm-8pm Mon-Thurs 3pm-6pm Fri 10am-5pm Sat
Time: 10:15 and 11:15 AM Ages: 2-3 yrs. Enjoy listening to stories and rhymes with your children ages 2-3. Stories are read every Tuesday at 10:15 & 11:15 AM. The program lasts about 25 minutes.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) California chapter #146 is located in Chino. We meet Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Chino First Baptist Church, . Weigh-in starts at 6:15 p.m., with the last weigh-in at 6:55 p.m. New or returning members of all ages are always welcome!
TOPS is a non-profit organization. Annual membership is only $24.00, and monthly dues are $6.00.

The City of Chino Hills held its first Farmer’s Market in April 2007. The event will continue every Wednesday night at the McCoy Equestrian & Recreation Center.
Local providers display their products of fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, honey, spices, beef jerkey, cut fresh flowers, baked goods, and fresh popped kettle corn.

Time: 3:45 PM Ages: Grades K-6 There is an after-school craft program the first Thursday of each month from September through June at 3:45 p.m. for children in grades K through 6. Seating is limited to 30, so be sure to come early and join in the fun!
Time: 10:20 and 11:20 AM Ages: infants to 2 Introduce your child to the love of language through stories and rhyme. This storytime is for infants up to age two and their parent or guardian, held at 10:20-10:40 AM and again from 11:20-11:40 AM. This is a great way for adults and little ones to spend quality time while older children are in Pre-School Storytime!
Time: 10 AM to dusk Ages: all ages The main show arena at McCoy Equestrian Center will be open every Friday from 10:00 a.m. until one half-hour before dusk. All equestrians are welcome! This is a perfect opportunity to practice for your weekend horse show or just ride for pleasure. Bring a friend or make a new one as you enjoy “riding in style” in the main arena.
